[Campaigns](https://knowledge.additive.eu/en/knowledge/additive-marketing-automation?hsLang=en#campaigns) # How does E-Mail Automation work? ## Campaigns E-mail automation is used to provide automated and personalized email communication of the new contacts generated via on-page campaigns and/or social media ads.   The communication is based on interactions with certain content or predefined actions that trigger them (newsletter subscription via newsletter widget, registration in an on-page campaign, inquiry, participation in a survey, confirmation of a certain affinity, etc.).   The objective is to use an e-mail series (including an incentive) to make potential guests aware of the benefits of a stay.
